Execution—Monitoring and Controlling |

A project reporting format can be developed as a template to allow the project team to report progress to senior management. The template, utlising planned cost and revenue figures, will be in spreadsheet format and developed to suite customer requirements.
The report will typically contain information such as planned and actual time and cost based % complete, initial and current contract value, planned and projected end of job cost, planned and projected contract margin, planned and actual invoice value to date, approved variations and submitted claims.
Such a report will automatically flag negative variances and allow the project team and senior management to focus on exception items. |
|
· Simple—spreadsheet based.
· Requires planned inputs, forcing planning to be done.
· Requires actual status plus projections for reporting.
· Detailed enough for senior management to gauge / confirm status. |
