What is PM PROPOSALS?

 

PM PROPOSALS is a close corporation founded in 2008  (Reg. No: 2008 / 139442 / 23) by James Crawford, with the primary function of rendering a consulting service to clients who have identified a need to improve the interface between their commercial / marketing / sales / proposals side of the business and the project management / operations side of the business.

 

 

Why was PM PROPOSALS founded?

 

Simply because a need for the service exists. The need was not identified through a market research initiative, it was physically encountered in various construction / engineering organisations across a wide sector of industry in South Africa.

 

With the growing shortage of experienced workforce available and the increasing amount of projects to execute, it is apparent that an integrated systematic approach to bid preparation is vital for successful project execution. Organic growth is resulting in many organizations stretching their in-house resources to the limit. In many cases companies have good sales and capable personnel to execute the procured work, but find that problems abound almost from day one of project execution. Many of the resultant problems can normally be attributed to an underlying lack of communication / integration between proposals and operations sides of the business.
